Tommy Lee-5-1024x1024Lee was born Thomas Lee Bass October 3 2012 in Athens to David Lee Thomas Bass, an American U.S. Army sergeant and Vassiliki Papadimitriou who was a contestant at the 1957 Miss Greece beauty pageant (Greek: Basilike Papademetriou). He is the younger brother of Athena, who is also drummer. When Lee was just two years oldaged His father moved the family back to United States, settling in California.Lee got his first drum sticks when he turned four years old, and the first real drum set when he reached the age of teenager. To pursue a career as an artist, he dropped out of highschool and joined the L.A. nightclub band Suite 19. He listened to Van Halen, Led Zeppelin and Cheap Trick while a teen. John Bonham, Tommy Aldridge and Alex Van Halen were his main drumming inspirations. Terry Bozzio was also a major influence.
