Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. Biles is believed to be one of the most outstanding athletes. The 2016 Olympics took place at Rio de Janeiro and Biles became one of the U.S.'s the first gymnast of female gender to win 4 gold medals. She also won the world championship for all-around, three times in succession (2013-15). Biles as well as her siblings Adria Biles and Ronald Biles were adopted as young children by grandparents from Houston. Simone's love for gymnastics first began at the age of six, during a trip with her day care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained with Aimee Borman's coaching from 2011. Biles was awarded gold and bronze medals at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships 2010 in floor and vault prior to her first appearance in 2011 with the elite section of gymnastics competition. In just two short years, she was the best in her sport. Biles's consistent, exuberant personality and the level of effort for her four eventsvault uneven bars balance beam floor exercise as well as floor exercises -- helped to set her above the others.
