Dua Lipa was born 22nd august 1995, in London, the United Kingdom. After working as a fashion model and songwriter, she decided to sign with Warner Bros Records and release her debut album entitled "Dua Lipa" in the year 2017. The album reached number three in the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles which included Be The One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. number-one song New Rules which peaked at number six on the charts in the United States. The album, which has now been recognized as Platinum in several countries around the world has won two Brit Awards (in the year 2018) for British female single artist as well as British Breakthrough act. Dua Lipa was the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London, was born on 22 August 1995. By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she is of Bosnian ancestry. You can also trace Lipa's ancestral roots in Peja within Kosovo. Her grandfathers were historians as well. She is a sister to Rina Lipa, and has one younger brother, named Gjin. Lipa began to learn how to play the guitar as well as sing under the guidance of her dad Oda. He is the lead singer/guitarist of Kosovan's band Oda.
